Here's our recap of National Diabetes Week 2023 Nutrition videosWe are excited to launch a series of nutrition videos, exploring difficult daily tasks such as counting carbohydrates and managing insulin and blood glucose levels with everyday food choices for a family. WA's first ENDIA graduateThis week, we celebrated our first WA ENDIA study graduate! For Michael and his family, it's been 10 years of volunteering research samples, 28 visits, 130 swab samples and 24 blood samples. We believe all this effort deserves to be celebrated! Thank you, Michael, for helping us understand more about T1D we have enjoyed watching you grow. Sport coaching resourcesAfter interviewing over 30 WA sports coaches, parents and players with T1D we have developed a draft set of educational resources to help coaches support youth with T1D participate more safely in community sport. Community Forum InviteWe're hosting a free Community Forum evening next Wednesday 26 July (5.30-8.30pm) at the State Library of Western Australia and you're invited! Learn more about Australia's only JDRF Global Centre of Excellence in diabetes research. Meet our researchers and hear from national and international speakers about the latest in diabetes research and care. We will also be joined be celebrity guest speaker Rob Palmer who has been living with T1D since he was 7 years old.
