The reason I am writing is because right now your help can TRIPLE in impact for the children of a refugee Rohingya family like this one … … forced to flee their home because of war, and now living in the world’s largest refugee camp, in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Families have been here more than six years. Trying to survive in rickety shelters. With not enough food. Threatened by disease. And feeling the world has forgotten them. Except, I pray, for people like you Friend. You can change the world for a child of war with help as simple as providing pigeons, or chickens, so a mum can start a little business … You can provide everything you see in the photo for $199. Which is tax-deductible. And which is TRIPLED in impact by a new partner ALWS has joined with in this work. (The partner is DECCB – the aid agency of churches in the Czech Republic.) You can help families start mini-climate-smart vegetable plots … … by providing tools and seeds for the poorest members of the refugee community for $86. (Which then has TRIPLE impact!) You can even do the dirtiest work of all – cleaning drains to prevent the spread of diseases caused by dirty water … … and then spraying with 2% chlorine solution to destroy mosquito larvae to protect against malaria. The extra benefit is this work provides income for families to buy essentials. Our ALWS aim is to clear six kilometres of drains. You can clear 10 metres for $27. What do you think Friend? Is this something you would like to do for a family who have been forgotten by the world? These children of war growing up in a refugee camp? If your heart is touched in any way, Simply DONATE NOW right here. Or if it’s easier for you – or you have any questions – give us a call at ALWS on 1300 763 407. NUDGE? Oh … … in the subject of this email, I mentioned a ‘nudge’. A ‘nudge’ is how your kindness and compassion will go to work. You give a family a little encouragement – a chicken or pigeon set-up / a job cleaning drains / seeds and tools to start a veggie business … … and then they do the hard grunt work of building a better future for their children, despite the conditions they have to live in now. Just a nudge to get started. A nudge that tells them they haven’t been forgotten, even though the world’s governments are distracted elsewhere. Friend, I hope you don’t mind me giving you this ‘nudge’ – it’s just that the TRIPLE IMPACT is too good to miss to help families who have lost everything. Simply DONATE NOW, and I will report back to you on what you achieve. Thank you for taking the time to read my email all this way. I know I have shared a lot with you, so the fact you are here shows your kindness. You won’t get any headlines for the help you give now. No one will hail you as a hero. You just get on with the job and do the humble, hands-on, hard work that makes things happen. As you do, you will be a blessing – ALWayS! PS: You TRIPLE your impact for people in the refugee camp thanks to our ALWS partnership with churches from the Czech Republic.
