Advancing SA's top industry talent
FOURTEEN of South Australia's top innovators, founders and executives were announced 2024 ILF Scholars at our awards ceremony at the National Wine Centre last night. These outstanding emerging and experienced leaders will now embark on a journey to stimulate local jobs and fuel global growth for SA. As South Australia's leading private funder of executive education, the ILF continues its tradition of supporting world-class learning experiences at prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Oxford and Stanford. This marks the fifteenth year of our annual grants program, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the state's top industry talent. ILF Chief Executive Richard Barrett says this year's cohort represents sectors vital to
the state's economic future, with ag-tech, space, advanced manufacturing and sustainable energy leading the charge. "Our 2024 scholars embody the innovative spirit driving South Australia's economic transformation," Mr Barrett says. "They're shaping industries that will establish more head offices and attract significant investment to our state."
Since 2010, the ILF has awarded 283 grants totalling more than $3.6 million, catalysing the creation of over 4,000 high-value jobs in South Australian head offices. Remarkably, the cost per job has plummeted to just $650, showcasing the program's efficiency and impact. This year's grants program featured four distinguished bonus awards, recognising standout applicants who exemplify the fund's core values: - Colin J Peters AM Memorial Award:
Fostering youth talent in manufacturing. - David B McNeil OAM Transformative Leadership Program Award:
Generating state wealth through entrepreneurship. - Seeley International Imagineering Award:
Pioneering revolutionary engineering. - Lumination State Innovator Award:
Showcasing SA to the world.
Congratulations to our new cohort on this significant achievement. We look forward to seeing the positive impact you make on South Australia's economic landscape.
