Friday Morning Breakfast Meetings
We are seeking presentors for Friday Morning Breakfast meetings. Please advise Jacqui Dicks if you are interested. It can be a topic of your choice or an interesting case study which is GP focused. Meetings will be taking place at WACRH. Attendance at the breakfast meetings is free to all health professionals. Thanks to the Midwest GP Network and WACRH for making this possible.

Cancer Council WA - Immunotherapy: supporting patients in their cancer treatment

At this webinar, Dr Piyush Grover will discuss strategies to support patients receiving immunotherapy including how to recognise and manage both acute and late side effects and how to determine when a specialised approach is required.

Toxicological Emergencies | Carnarvon
26 May 2023 This one-day workshop stream covers general and specific topics related to poisoning and local toxicology, using an interactive tutorial format concentrating on small group discussions of case scenarios. This Rural Health West CPD workshop, presented by leading specialists in their field, has been designed to offer practising rural medical practitioners an update in toxicological emergencies.

WACRH Student-Led Physiotherapy Clinic
Appointments are available in our student-led physiotherapy clinic at the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) in Geraldton.
People attending the clinic are seen by Physiotherapy students supervised by qualified Physiotherapists.
No doctor referral needed and anyone is eligible to attend. It is particularly suited to those who have difficulty accessing other physiotherapy services. There is no cost.

Kalbarri Visitors Centre Explore Kalbarri's newest attraction with D'Guy Charters and then have a light dinner provided by our local supplier with a complimentary glass of bubbles.
Get spoiled by the Milky Way and the stars scattered above our heads. We can spot some constellations, planets, satellites, or perhaps a glimpse of a meteor, aka shooting stars, with your naked eye. Flotsam and Jetsam Exhibition - Opening Night

With around 100 entries this is a truly unique exhibition that has a strong sustainability message and aims to drive awareness of our environmental responsibility to protect and preserve the Abrolhos Islands and our beautiful planet.
If you’re an art lover, don’t miss the opportunity to view all of the incredible pieces created.
The exhibition will run from 30th April - 27th May. For the duration of the exhibition, the public can vote for their favourite piece of artwork.
The People's Choice winner will be announced on Saturday 27th May at 4pm. This award is open to all entries.
The MWGHPN is active on Facebook, members can keep up to date with local educational and social events being held in their region.
MWGHPN members are encouraged to utilise the platform themselves to promote their organisation's events and news to keep our community connected and share information!

The Readiness Program
Primary care’s readiness to address domestic and family violence. Developed and delivered by the Safer Families Consortium, The Readiness Program is a national training program for primary care providers to effectively recognise, respond, refer and record domestic and family violence using a trauma and violence informed approach.
