The purpose of the webpages are to provide students with a clear understanding of the issues involved and awareness of the support structures that help students. The primary message is how we can support students to be successful at Flinders University. New Researcher Development websiteThe HDR Development team has come together with the Researcher Training, Development and Communication team to create a service for all researchers at Flinders, from graduate researchers, to supervisors and senior researchers. An email announcing this was sent from the DVCR, launching our new Researcher Development website. This website now provides all the information on your research training and development, and has a section dedicated to HDR students and supervisors. As part of this change, we will also be changing our email address. So shortly, all HDR Development communication will come from researcher.development@flinders.edu.au. It is still us behind the email, just making us more accessible to all. Safety on CampusFlinders University is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all staff and students. In March 2025, the University officially endorsed the RNA – Safety and Respect at Flinders Action Plan. You can read more about it here. More importantly, these activities help close the gap between research and industry and promote collaboration. This session provides an overview of HDR industry engagement, PhD industry internship and key criteria information and ways to engage with industry. New HDR Development Drop-in Sessions - Tuesdays 4-5pmThis year, we will be running HDR Development Drop-in sessions weekly with specific discussion topics each week. You can attend in person in the HDR Central training room, or join online. The sessions run every Tuesday 4-5pm, and a list of discussion topics is included in the HDR Connect Team.
