Dear
The Alumni Office loves nothing more than welcoming back alumni, reminiscing about their time and showing them round campus. This month we welcomed back some of the Class of 1973 and we laughed for hours.
It has been another busy month, and we were also delighted to welcome back alumni for the inaugural final year Degree Show for the Faculty of Business, Computing and Digital Industries.

Chloe returns to campus
It was brilliant to welcome back Chloe Tear to campus this month; it was the first time since she graduated.
Chloe studied Psychology and Child Development and graduated in 2019. She is currently a Content Designer for Scope. She has been on The Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 list for the last two years.
Chloe was very excited about the arrival of her guide dog this month. During her visit she also got to catch up with former Students' Union President and current member of staff Charles Isherwood.

Congratulations and good luck to Hannah-Freya Blake (Doctor of philosophy PhD, Nineteenth-century Literature, 2021) who will be a special guest at Wordspace on Wednesday 7 June at The Hop Shack (Horsforth) to speak about her book Cake Craft. Book your place.
Hannah-Freya has achieved her lifelong dream: "Though the book has been out since the end of April, speaking to an audience will really bring it home that I've done it: I've become a novelist, just like I've wanted to do since I was 12. And I am determined it won't be my only novel!"
She wrote the first draft of Cake Craft during the first lockdown of the pandemic: "At the time I was feeling very isolated, as I lived alone, without even a cat for company." Read more.
Best of luck Hannah-Freya and we look forward to hearing about your future books!
