Attendance is mandatory. All incoming graduate students will have the option to attend sessions in person, online, or by watching a recorded video.

For in-person attendance:

• Check the schedules in advance (see links above)
• Bring a reusable water bottle (filling stations are mapped in the BrownU App)
• Sign up for the various social and community building activities scheduled August 22-30. Space is limited for many events, so do not wait. See links on the Graduate School website, and in the BrownU App.
• Dress for the weather, bring rain gear if needed. Most sessions will be held outside under a tent. Indoor simulcast locations are available in the case of extreme heat. If sessions need to move indoors due extreme weather, an email announcement will be sent the day prior.
• PhD & MFA students: Registration is required for lunch on Wednesday, August 28
• International Students: Look up your group number for the Peer Mentor Lunch in advance (look up by Banner ID, which begins with a B)

For online attendance: Look for the Zoom links available on the Graduate School website, and in the BrownU App. You will need your Brown ID to join the session. This number begins with a 1 and can be found on your ID card or in MyAccount.

To watch recordings: Recordings will be available approximately 24 hours after the original session has concluded and will require you login with your Brown username and password. Links will be available on the Graduate School website, and in the BrownU App.
