Dr. Tukachinsky publishes research on misinformation in the media

Dr. Riva Tukachinsky recently collaborated with Dr. Nathan Walter at Northwestern University on a research article about misinformation in the media and why it is so difficult to combat and identifies conditions that facilitate corrective efforts.

Health Communication students create a media literacy workshop for families

Students in the Health & Strategic Communication master’s program worked with Dr. Riva Tukachinsky to teach local families about media literacy through a program at Higher Ground in Anaheim, CA. The presentations gave parents the tools to talk to their children about marketing and taught their children about recognizing deception in commercials.
