Images of Research Competition 2023 – Opens Friday 3 November 2023!
Deadline to submit entries - Friday 5 January 2024.
Our Images of Research Competition provides you with the opportunity to communicate your research to a non-specialist audience. The competition - now in its tenth year - has received hundreds of entries over that time, showcasing the breadth of research undertaken at the university through a single, visually-engaging image and short, jargon-free description. Entries will be displayed across all three campuses. We’re hoping to display further afield in the Spring too.
To celebrate the competition’s 10th year, there will not only be prizes for the top three entries, but a special Arts and Culture commendation will also be awarded, enabling the recipient a permanent online exhibition.
The deadline to submit entries is Friday 5 January 2024; further information including how to enter and submission guidance can be found on our website.
The Images of Research Competition is one of the ways we seek to support our Early Career Researchers. You can find out more about how we support a positive research culture on our Research Culture SharePoint site.

Join the Inclusivity Matters! Committee 2023-2024 (Penryn Campus)
The Committee organises events focusing on EDI topics to build awareness and support on campus. Last year 2 successful events were organised exploring Disability and Accessibility, and Race and Decolonisation. Funding has been secured to continue this academic year. Next event is on Gender Identity and Inclusion in November.
The Committee is a friendly group of postgrads, undergrads and staff. Committee members help to shape the events, including themes and speakers - perhaps you have an idea for an event you haven't see on campus? This might be a chance to organise it! Helping with the committee does not require extensive commitment and you do not have to be based at Penryn. The Committee meets once a week, you can be involved as much or as little as you would like.
If you think you would like to be involved, or have any questions, please email inclusivitymatters@exeter.ac.uk.
