EPSW Bulletin April 2025

Flinders University acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which its campuses are located, these are the Traditional Lands of the Arrernte, Dagoman, First Nations of the South East, First Peoples of the River Murray & Mallee region, Jawoyn, Kaurna, Larrakia, Ngadjuri, Ngarrindjeri, Ramindjeri, Warumungu, Wardaman and Yolngu people. We honour their Elders past, present and emerging.

Update from Prof. Deborah West, Vice-President and Executive Dean 

I hope you had a restful and relaxing Easter Break. Our graduation ceremony on 16 April celebrated 481 students. The College Leadership Team is finalising the Strategic Plan, with a draft coming in May. I recently visited key industry stakeholders in rural and remote regions. Reconciliation Week at the end of May, themed 'Bridging Now to Next,' encourages reflection and forward-thinking.

Update from Prof. Mary Katsikitis, Dean People and Resources 

A big welcome to the staff who have joined the College since out last newsletter. Staff who have received workload draft, please discuss any revisions with your supervisor/TPD in the first instance. The 2025 round of promotion applications have been announced. The call for promotions were released on Monday 31st March 2025. I would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff who attended Graduation ceremony on 16 April.

Did you know the University has a Creative Services Panel of experienced suppliers, who have been selected based on their industry expertise and service offerings? Utilising panel members will save time and effort, and ensure quality governance across our supplier network.

Service offerings include:

  • Copywriting and proofreading - short and long-form
  • Photography services
  • Videography services
  • Branding and/or graphic design
  • Website content and development services.

If a preferred supplier does not exist for the service, you will need to follow the University’s procurement process for supplier selection and contracting.
