Click here Dear FriendMother Teresa said ‘If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.’ Listening and being are two of the most overlooked ways we can demonstrate love to our families, yet they speak the most powerful message: ‘I matter, and you care about me’. Mother Teresa invites us to forget about grand achievements and great success, and to start focusing on changing the world one person at a time – in our families. I have recently had the privilege of meeting and recruiting new befrienders to my team who have done exactly that – loved their family through the most challenging of times. I invite you to read their stories. If you didn't receive the spring newsletter, you can catch up here. Just For You – PeaceWe are delighted to announce that we are holding another online event for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Having children with additional needs can bring a level of isolation and aloneness that others may not fully appreciate. It can be difficult to get away from home to attend events and conferences. In 2020 we hosted Just For You – Hope, an online event. It was so well received that we have decided to hold another one! We would love you to join us for Just For You – Peace on: Saturday 8 October 2022 10 am–12.30 pm There will be time to listen, reflect and to share in breakout rooms with other parents of children with additional needs. Please save the date. Booking details will be emailed out after the summer. Additional Needs support from Care for the FamilyWe hope you have found this newsletter helpful.
