CHS: Partnering in Learning
As part of our commitment to partnerships for meaningful learning, Crofton House and the CHS Parents’ Auxiliary are pleased to announce the Winter Bazaar partners for 2025-2028: Backpack Buddies and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. For the next three years, Crofton House will collaborate with both organizations as learning partners for the Junior and Senior School, and as the recipients of the Winter Bazaar proceeds.
Thank you to all of you who submitted proposals for consideration through this process. The CHS Partnership Advisory Group—comprising students, parents, staff, and alumnae—carefully reviewed 14 submissions guided by core principles of learning, reciprocity, sustainability, diversity, and agency. While our Winter Bazaar partnership currently centers on two organizations, the School is actively exploring meaningful ways to work with the other proposed, existing, and new partners in learning —seeking collaborations that are deeply impactful for our community.
The School welcomes ideas from students, families, alumnae, and the broader community. If you have ideas to share or explore, please contact Kara McDonald, Deputy Head, Community Engagement & Partnerships.
CHS Alumnae Reconnect in Hong Kong

Alumnae at the 27th Annual CHS Golf Classic

It was wonderful to have alumnae come out and support CHS Athletics at this year’s golf tournament—whether playing or joining the evening banquet!

Class of 1975 Celebrates 50 Years

We were delighted to welcome back the Class of 1975 as they celebrated their 50th reunion with a special visit to the CHS campus. The day was filled with joy and nostalgia as classmates reconnected, shared memories, and explored the campus—including a walk through The Woods that sparked stories from their school days.
Alumnae Supporting CHS Students as Volunteers
Capstone Projects
A heartfelt thank you to the CHS alumnae who generously volunteered their time as evaluators for this year’s Grade 12 Capstone Project presentations. In Grade 12, students self-explore and integrate passions with practical career pathways. Each student completes a Capstone Project, which is a passion-fuelled, career-oriented, ambitious, yet achievable project, culminating in a presentation to alumnae or staff volunteers, demonstrating competency growth and future-ready skills.
We’re so grateful for your involvement in this process as your supportive feedback enriches the student journey and strengthens the CHS community across generations.
Pen Pals
Thank you to the alumnae who took the time to connect with our Grade 1 students through this year’s Pen Pal Program. Your letters sparked curiosity and brought big smiles to small faces. It’s special to see our alumnae community engaging with the next generation in a personal way. Your kindness and creativity can have a lasting impression on these young students.
Alum Mum Tea

While the CHS graduating class was turning their sights to summer and new adventures, alum mums and their daughters attended an afternoon tea. It was wonderful to welcome students from different classes and their mums on campus, including new alum mums and students starting in the 2025-2026 school year.
Fleurs de Villes Downtown Abbey Exhibit at VanDusen Botanical Gardens

CHS Alumnae who are fans of flowers and gardens gathered at the Fleurs de Villes Downton Abbey exhibit at VanDusen Botanical Gardens to get a peek behind the scenes and a flower-arranging demonstration with the event founder (and mom of two Crofton House alumnae!).
More Girls, More Blankets

With the help of CHS staff and volunteer alumnae, Grade 4 and 5 students knit 18 blankets for Project Linus—50 per cent more than in 2023-2024! Project Linus provides blankets to children going through a crisis in their lives.
This after-school knitting program has continued to grow since 2024 and is being planned again for next January-March 2026. Alumnae are welcome to come and share their knitting tips with students.
Wrapping Up the CHS Association Year & A Heartfelt Thank You!
