News and events in Ku-ring-gai No images? Click here NewsIt’s a depressing read, showing that both levels of government offload around $1.5 billion in costs each year onto councils, which are already buckling under the weight of rate pegging and inflation. These costs include funds for emergency services, exemptions from rates for state owned organisations and meeting a 50% shortfall in funding for local libraries originally promised by the NSW Government. You can read the report at $500 per ratepayer: cost shifting blowout exposed in new report | LGNSW.
