The Fall 2024 Season In-Person Championships are here! Who will be crowned the State Champions? This Saturday the top 32 high school teams in Michigan will battle it out in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rocket League, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Valorant! Below you will find all the information you need to know before you attend the event. Please share this information with everyone who may be attending.

To view MSU Campus, parking and the venue, please click here. There are specified lots with addresses to use for vehicle and bus parking. If traveling by bus, we recommend dropping students and equipment off at the event site before parking, as it is a further walk. IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTE:
Please be aware there is a MSU Men's Basketball Big 10 Opening Game starting at Noon. East Lansing and MSU campus will be busy. We highly recommend you be parked by 11 AM to ensure you receive parking in our lots for the event.

The MSU Esports team will be broadcasting & shoutcasting the four Championship matches on Twitch: Twitch.tv/EsportsatMSU and Twitch.tv/EsportsatMSU2. As well as providing highlights of matches throughout the day. What to Bring:
Snacks and a water bottle are suggested - there are water filling stations at MSU. For competitors - bring your own required equipment as discussed in coaches meeting/notes.
Refreshments & Food Delivery Information: - No food/drinks will be provided by MHSEL. Food/beverages are not allowed in the actual gaming competition rooms (to protect technology) but food/drinks are permitted at the event in the other areas.
- For spots to eat on MSU Campus open to the public click here and here for their hours of operation. Case Hall is the closest dining hall to the STEM Building that is open on Saturday. It is a 5-8 min walk.
- You are allowed to have food delivered to the building. The address to the building is 642 Red Cedar Rd., East Lansing. This is recommended for competing teams.
- Competing team members: it is highly recommended that you do not go offsite to eat, as we will move forward in scheduled matches if we are able.
Should there be inclement weather in East Lansing (MSU) forcing us to cancel the event, we will notify coaches and principals via email late Friday evening or early Saturday morning. Please note that we cannot account for inclement weather in your home area, so please allow yourself plenty of travel time to make it to the event safely. If we had to cancel the in-person event for inclement weather, the matches will be played the following week virtually - the in-person event will not be rescheduled.
Event Photo & Media Release
The event that you are attending will be held in areas where photographs are taken or other media formats are used. You understand that attendance at the event is contingent acceptance of the following release, to which (by registering and/or attending) you hereby expressly agree to the following: I consent to publication and use of my own name and/or likeness (name and likeness collectively “Likeness”) for the purpose of promotion, publicity, advertising, or other manner or media by the Michigan High School Esports League (MHSEL), or any other representative authorized to act on behalf of MHSEL. Likeness includes, but is not limited to, photographs, sound and/or video recordings, films, broadcasts,
brochures, publications, reports, web pages, promotional materials or any other audio visual, electronic, printed, tangible work in any media or format, and/or reproductions of same. I agree that the actual material involved is and will be MHSEL’s property and that I don’t have a right of review or approval regarding the use of my Likeness in such material. I hereby release and hold harmless MHSEL, along with its respective employees, agents, affiliates, sponsors, or other representatives, from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of the use of my Likeness, in accordance with the terms of this release. I understand and agree that I will not be compensated for the use of my Likeness by MHSEL. Furthermore, I agree to indemnify MHSEL against any damages, costs, or fees incurred in defending against any claims, demands, or causes of actions filed on my
behalf arising from the public and/or use of my Likeness.
At this event I understand that I am expected to treat others with respect and if I behave in a way that is deemed unacceptable or unsportsmanlike by the event organizers, I can be removed from the event. Unacceptable behavior could be (but is not limited to): inappropriate language/swear words, hand gestures, and physical violence.
