Dear Colleagues

The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES) congratulates Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Australian Labor Party on their re-election.

We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with the Albanese Government and engaging with the leadership of the education portfolio as it progresses its reform agenda—building on our shared commitment to improving access, participation, and outcomes for underrepresented students in higher education.

As Australia’s national What Works Centre for student equity, ACSES supports the delivery of evidence-based policy through robust research, data, and trials that directly inform government, universities, and communities.

We acknowledge the Government’s ongoing support for student equity, including its commitment to recommendations from the Australian Universities Accord and the expansion of evidence-based equity-related programs.

ACSES welcomes the opportunity to continue supporting the delivery of transformative reforms in student equity.

Equity in higher education is not just a moral imperative—it is essential to Australia’s future prosperity. ACSES is committed to supporting this agenda with research that leads to real-world impact.

Sincerely

Professor Shamit Saggar
