Applications Open Tuesday 7 November: Career Development Fellowship from The Royal Society
The Royal Society has developed the Career Development Fellowship following cross-sector roundtables that identified a need for interventions across the academic pipeline, particularly to support researchers transitioning from postgraduate to early postdoctoral stages. The scheme provides early career scientists from underrepresented groups in STEM with research funding and high-quality training opportunities (comprehensive programme of mentoring, training and networking) to build a strong base for a successful research career.
The programme is a four-year, postdoctoral research fellowship designed to bolster the representation of researchers from underrepresented backgrounds in STEM. The scheme will initially run as a pilot with researchers from Black or Mixed Black African, Black Caribbean or other Black heritage backgrounds. If successful, the pilot may be broadened to researchers from other underrepresented groups
