This big brand has its headquarters in Charlton, a small town just outside of Toowoomba. Along with their many national stockists, an online presence affords them the ability to exponentially expand their market beyond their locality. Many caution against families working together in business. Being sisters we do heed these warnings, but don’t take them to heart. Did you know that family businesses account for nearly three quarters of all Australian business enterprises? Yes, we do recognise that the collision of ‘worlds’ needs to be treated with caution, however great things can be achieved and there can be many advantages when working with the ‘family-force’. It is with sadness that we say goodbye to the Cotton Catchment Communities CRC with which we have been involved in many projects. They put pens down on June 30 when their seven year term ended. ‘Weaving a future’ is a publication that showcases their involvement with the Cotton Industry and communities over this time.
