Intro from the editor

Hello! As we open 2022 with a more optimistic outlook for the new year, we want to thank our clients for your continued custom. Heading into our 37th trading year we’re excited for the opportunities this next year can bring.

One of the main discussion points for all of our clients has been the cost of rebuilding and replacing buildings and contents. Inflationary pressure from external trading factors and supply chain issues has combined to give mass price increases on a variety of products. Scaling this up to rebuilding costs shows how vulnerable policies are to external costs. We’re encouraging all of our readers to strongly consider sums insured at renewal time (if not before) and you can read more on this below.

We recently acquired Heritage Insurance Agency and are so pleased to welcome Vicci & Heidi. This addition to our specialist household insurance scheme really does give us the edge in the non-standard and Thatch household insurance market.

Our small update is ultimately your newsletter that should give you a few snippets of advice and guidance. If you feel we should mention a particular story, get in touch at mail@county-insurance.co.uk .

Many Thanks,
Tim Sydenham B.Sc (Hons) ACII
