Toormina LEGO club

Keen to make new friends and get creative after school? Join our FREE LEGO Club at Toormina Library. Every Thursday, kids aged 6–12 years are invited to take part in fun themed challenges using LEGO provided by the library. Build, imagine and create in a relaxed and social space each week.

Craft and Connect: June session knitting workshop with guest facilitator

Join the final session in our 3-part Knitting workshop series, featuring a special guest facilitator. Bring along your current project to add the finishing touches or learn some new knitting skills.

Learn to record a podcast

Learn how to use the library's podcast studio to easily record in-person and remote guests for your podcast. This comprehensive workshop covers everything you need to know to set up and record podcast interviews and presentations using the Rodecaster Pro II. 

Bird Language and Recording

When: Saturday 27 June, 10am - 1pm
Where: Nature Discovery Centre, North Coast Botanic Gardens

Join us for a bird language and recording workshop at the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden. We will cover how to set up mics & audio recording equipment to capture bird calls and how to create spectrograms that provide visual representations of various bird calls. Image credit: David Cook

Whale Worldbuilders

Create your own whale and build a colourful ocean habitat where it can thrive. Through hands-on art, play and discovery, children will explore the amazing world of whales including the incredible whale visitors we can spot from the headlands right here on the Coffs Coast. 

Kids Flicks: Robot Dreams

Lights down, adventure on! Join us at the library for Kids Flicks, our playful school holiday movie series made just for kids and families. Our next flick is Robot Dreams (PG), is the story of Dog, a lonely canine who builds himself a robot for companionship. Their friendship blossoms as they embark on adventures (and misadventures) across the city.

Music Making with Memo

When: Friday 10 July, 10am-2pm
Where: Digital Studio, level 1, Yarrila Place

Come and learn to make and record music during the school holidays. Facilitated by local musician and conservatorium teacher Memo Beltzer, this fun workshop will explore recording and mixing that encourages creativity with music. Basic knowledge of computer use required.

Make yourself bacon and eggs, or fantastic birthday cake cooking episode using Lego blocks, and your imagination. Our instructor will lead you though the technical skills required to set up your cooking show mini stage with lights, iPads and action!
