Scotch College eNewsletter – Mon 5 May 2025

Our fortnightly news and a key resource for current families.

From the Headmaster

Dear Scotch Community,

Welcome back to the start of Autumn term. There is no doubt that Summer term proved to be long, and the general feeling was a sense of relief when we reached the finishing line last term.

Fortunately, from witnessing staff and students last week, it is clear a lot of recharging took place over the break. Having said this, we did have tours and conferences occur over the break, as well as a lot of preparation for Senior School examinations, so for some staff and students the break was short and still busy.

As many of you will be aware, Scotch is a member of the Round Square group of schools. Over the break, in partnership with Bunbury Cathedral Grammar, both schools working together to host the regional conference which saw 100 student delegates, 22 Year 11 leaders from the two schools and approximately 25 staff from the visiting schools and ourselves as host, spend 4 days immersed in an amazing journey at Moray, Yallingup, Dunsborough and Busselton.

Annual Appeal

The greatest gift of all. Each year a significant event is that of our Annual Appeal. Many of you will be aware that a major focus of the College in recent years has been in providing opportunities for those that otherwise would not have been able to attend Scotch College. This continues to be a significant priority and in 2025 our Annual Appeal is seeking to grow the funds that can provide these opportunities.

Keep an eye out for more scholarship stories soon!
