From the Mayor
This week I want to give a special shout-out to our seniors, who are so active in our community and send my best wishes to local students gearing up for exams.
Next week we're marking Dementia Awareness Week, with the Ku-ring-gai Dementia Alliance hosting a series of free events to support people living with dementia, their families and carers – including an open day at the Gordon Multicultural Hub, a technology seminar, a café social and a line dancing class. I'd encourage everyone to come along and help us build a more dementia-friendly community.
With the September school holidays approaching, check out our school holiday program and book in – there's plenty on for the kids across our libraries, the Wildflower Garden, the Art Centre and Vacation Care.
Finally, good luck to our HSC students preparing for exams. Gordon Library is running HSC lock-ins for a quiet, focused place to study. We're all cheering you on.
