Plans for breakwater trial at Naval Point
A trial of a new breakwater at Naval Point is planned for this weekend (26-28 November 2021).
Temporary buoys will be put in place to see if the location for the breakwater, which was signed off as part of the Naval Point Development Plan last year, works for boaties and other water sports enthusiasts that use the area.

The Naval Point-Te Nukutai o Tapoa was approved by the Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū/Banks Peninsula Community Board on Monday, 30 November 2020.
