Resource Consents update – 29 November 2021We’re getting in touch to let you know that resource consent application numbers remain high and there are ongoing delays allocating and processing applications. To help you monitor this, we’ve added information to our webpage showing the current allocation timeframe. We’re updating this every week. At the moment it's taking around 30 working days to allocate applications and unfortunately this timeframe is increasing rather than decreasing. We’re continuing to do what we can to manage the workload. We’re recruiting new staff and outsourcing applications for processing. Unfortunately, there is limited capacity across the sector. We recognise that the delays can be frustrating and costly for applicants, and make it difficult to plan ahead for construction projects. We sincerely apologise for this. If you have any questions about your applications, please get in touch with us at CCCResourceconsentapplications@ccc.govt.nz. We'll also try to keep you updated on the expected processing timeframe once your application has been allocated. You can also contact our team leaders directly if you have their contact details. We also send out surveys with every decision, and we encourage you to complete those to help us improve the service we can offer you.
