The campaign period of Indonesia's presidential election began this week. Our latest article describes the three contenders by trying to put a label on them: Anies Baswedan, the professor; Prabowo Subianto, the general; and Ganjar Pranowo, the populist. To anticipate the proliferation of misinformation and disinformation during the campaign, The Conversation Indonesia (TCID) has set up a fact-checking expert panel of our authors. Recently, the initiative has received support from The Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) with a grant from the Open Society Foundation to collaborate with two other reputable media - Tempo and Kompas - to amplify the project's impact. We plan to launch this collaboration soon. If you are an academic or researcher, you can join the panel by registering via this link. So, stay tuned! Warmest, Ika Krismantari
