A planning application has been submitted to convert a vicarage in Brighton into a new studio and archive for artist, David Shrigley. Wall linings and windows are to be upgraded throughout to improve energy performance and reduce lifetime carbon. Photovoltaic panels have been integrated into the roof design in a pattern reminiscent of dazzle ships. Read about the project in the Architect's Journal here. Drawing by David Shrigley.

David met with the artist Rose Wylie to discuss her landmark show at the Royal Academy for leading Italian art journal Flash Art. The conversation ranged from her interest in early Renaissance painting to her technique of assembling paintings from fragments created over long periods of time. The 'Volumes' issue, covering architecture and design, was guest edited by Luis Ortega Govela.
