Welcome to the April newsletter

Dear
2023 certainly seems to be flying by very quickly as we approach the end of another academic year. Soon we will be warmly welcoming our 2023 graduates as new members of our alumni community.
We also have The King's Coronation fast approaching, which gave us a great opportunity to share the pictures of Prince Philip's visit to Leeds Trinity shortly after we opened our doors. You can see the full range of pictures on our Alumni Facebook page.

Keeping the tradition going

Since 2015, a staff team has taken on the Women's Football Club team to raise money for Macmillan. After a break of a couple of years, due to COVID-19, it was great to get the match back on the calendar again.
This match has been played in memory of Mick Marshall, who was the father of former captain Katie Marshall. Mick sadly passed away when Katie was still studying with us. Over the years we have raised nearly £2,500. The latest fixture was another close game, played in great spirit, in which the staff eventually won 3-0. More images.

Students' Union Awards Dinner
On 31 March, the Alumni Office was proud to sponsor a table at the annual Students' Union Awards Dinner. VIP guests at our table included some of the alumni who organise teams to return to campus to take on the student clubs.
Fittingly, Alumni Officer Brett Arnall presented the Club of the Year Award during the evening to the Women's Football Club.

Where did it start for you?
Throughout the year, the Alumni Office helps to cover UCAS events. Recently we supported the event in Farnborough, Hampshire.
As well as talking about the courses available, we are always exceptionally proud to share the types of careers our alumni have gone on to as well as how they continue to support the University.
Do you remember attending one of these around the country and knowing Leeds Trinity University was the place to be? More images.

Featured alumni – Emily Outram

Emily graduated from Business & Management in 2019. But she didn't just leave with a degree: "I left university with not only academic knowledge but practical knowledge too. I think it is really important to have a combination when it comes to working in real-life marketing settings."
Emily certainly achieved so much at Leeds Trinity: "My best memories have to be, being awarded the Tim Hodgson Memorial Prize for Business in my second year and winning the Business and Management Programme Prize in my final year, both for gaining the highest grades on my course."
She is currently enjoying her role as Account Manager at The Ark Marketing and Media, where she gets to manage and plan a range of marketing campaigns for a wide variety of clients.
