Since 2022, The Waterworks has served as a gathering place for the community. Built in 1898, the historic venue is home to music, theatre, poetry, and a variety of other artistic endeavors.

ShepardFest 2026 brings five days of bold theatre, film, conversation, and celebration centered on the work and legacy of renowned American playwright Sam Shepard. Free and ticketed events available. Click here to register or purchase.

EMMA Words & Music: Violinist Ilana Zaks-Nederlander
Thursday, August 6th 1 PM

Known for her dynamic artistry and commitment to musical storytelling, Ilana has performed as a soloist and as a member of major ensembles across the United States and Europe. Seating is first come, first served.

Ophelia, Florida Suffragist: Homeless Coalition Fundraiser
Saturday, August 8th 2 PM

Step into the world of “Ophelia, Florida Suffragist,” a one-woman show performed by Dianne Jacoby that brings to life a local woman’s fight for the right to vote. Tickets support the Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition’s work to stabilize families and end homelessness in St. Johns County. General admission is $35 or get two for $60.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Screening
Wednesday, August 12 7 PM

A young girl's coming-of-age story set in early 20th century Williamsburg, capturing the joys and hardships of life with honesty and warmth. Free for members, $10 for non-members.

Easter Parade Royal Tea
Saturday, August 15th 1 PM

The St. Augustine Royal Family hosts a traditional afternoon tea with treats and live music. Guests are encouraged to wear fancy dresses, hats, and costumes. Tickets are $55, seating is limited.

There’s a new tenant at Armadillo Acres, and she’s wreaking havoc all over Florida’s most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil-loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, the storms begin to brew. General admission is $35. On opening night, Catalyst Theatre celebrates with a launch party following the show.

Into the Rhythm Drumming

A hands-on rhythm workshop series designed to strengthen and uplift our community through rhythmic connection. This is a fully facilitated session open to all ages and abilities with instruments provided. Free event.

Ancient City Poets
Sunday, August 30th 2:30 PM

Poets and poetry lovers are invited to celebrate creative writing and reciting at The Waterworks with the local poetry community. Free event.
