Consumer EMV Pump Authorization Limit Increase

Pump authorization limits were implemented as an added security measure for consumers and merchants. Limits prevent a customer from fueling over a preset amount within a single pay-at-pump transaction.

Rising fuel prices have directly impacted pump authorization limits. Due to these increases, Cenex^® has made the decision to temporarily increase the consumer EMV pump authorization limits to $175, effectively immediately. Please note, the authorization limits for fleet and magstripe transactions will remain the same.

The pump authorization increase will apply for MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Visa EMV transactions. This temporary increase has been implemented in support of the Cenex brand. We will communicate any future limit adjustments accordingly.
