No images? Click here Akaroa Wharf concept design approvedA concept design to replace the 134-year-old Akaroa Wharf has been approved at today’s Christchurch City Council meeting. It will see the wharf rebuilt in the same position and the same length as the existing wharf. Whilst detailed design is yet to begin, it’s likely to use a mix of materials including timber and concrete. Some of the original material may be incorporated into the new structure for items such as seating and railing.
