Dear Friend, This month we’re delighted to share with you our brand new promotional video. Our last video served us well for ten years, and we want to say a huge thank you to Equippers Church, Chertsey and all the dads and children who featured in it. It’s incredible to think that most of those children will now be teenagers. We also remain indebted to Cinnamon Network, whose technical and financial support made that video possible. Do explore Cinnamon Connect as the way to find people, resources and knowledge to help your church community project thrive, whether you’re interested in Who Let The Dads Out? or any of the other forty social action initiatives they recommend. With seventeen new Who Let The Dads Out? groups setting up already in 2023, it feels as though we’re moving into a new season of growth, as we all look at how we can support families with love and compassion through the joys and challenges they are experiencing. Whether you’ve been journeying with us for ten years or ten days we are so grateful for your company and the heart you have to support dads and father figures. In this newsletter we also feature details of the next Mountain Dad event, our autumn Zoom Cafés and Care for the Family’s whole autumn events schedule. So please do read on. Kind regards, Who Let The Dads Out? team Friday 10 – Sunday 12 November 2023 Join us, as together we make memories that will last a lifetime. Mountain Dad is for adventurous dads (and father figures) with adventurous kids. It offers a chance to spend time with your children (aged 8+) in a group with other dads and their children. You can together take on the challenge of hiking to the peak of Cader Idris in the beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, before relaxing back at the Min y Don centre on the Mawddach Estuary. Our Zoom Cafés are a chance to connect with others across the Who Let The Dads Out? community, to ask questions, share ideas, talk through issues or just listen in. No pre-booking required – simply make yourself a drink and click on the Zoom link to join. Autumn Events 2023 Our autumn events schedule includes three weeks of A Mind of Their Own and four weeks of An Evening with Rob Parsons. Mum’s Night Out is in Northern Ireland and couples can once again unpack a Date Night in a Box.
