Welcome to the Law School!

Congratulations to each of you for securing your place to study with us as we celebrate 100 years of Exeter Law! You are joining our diverse community of academics, professional services colleagues, students and alumni at a pivotal point in the Law School’s history and we hope that you will be part of our celebrations over the coming months.

I am sure that you are filled with a mixture of emotions as you embark on your first few days at University and I hope that you are settling into your new life here. You are now beginning the next phase of your academic life and it is important to recognise that your Law degree is a rigorous and challenging course – but, it is also a lot of fun! You are here because you are intelligent, bright and resilient – you have earned your place at one of the UK’s top Law schools, so make the most of every moment.

As you begin your studies, I encourage you to be curious and intellectually disruptive; be kind to one another and aim high.

I look forward to meeting you all.
