Closing date for grants and scholarships extended

In light of the Covid-19 virus rapid expansion into a global pandemic, the Board of the Stand Like Stone Foundation wish to update the Limestone Coast community and community partners on its position.

As with everyone across the country and in our region, we are closely monitoring the situation in response to Government requirements and public health concerns in relation to the spread of the coronavirus.

We want to do our part to help ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of our Limestone Coast community.

Swinging with the Stars
We have made the regrettable, but right, decision to cancel the Swinging with the Stars 2020 event that was scheduled for June 20. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the event so far, and especially our talented stars who have already started raising money for the Stand Like Stone Foundation.

Swinging with the Stars is the key fundraiser for Stand Like Stone, providing an important source of administration funds to keep our community foundation operational. It also raises a significant amount of money that is used for important grants and scholarships for the benefit of the people of the Limestone Coast Region.

Donations can still be made to Stand Like Stone via our website . https://standlikestone.com.au/donate/

We look forward to dancing in 2021!

Grants and Scholarships
We are more committed than ever to supporting our local community, and with this in mind would like to reassure our grant and scholarship recipients that we understand that some programs and/or activities may need to be modified.

We encourage anyone who has been impacted to get in touch with the team so we can work with you to modify your programs as needed.

We will also extend the deadline of our current Small Grants, Community Capacity Building Grants and Educational Scholarship Rounds to 30 April 2020 to provide more time for potential applicants.

Along with our Community Capacity Building funding partner, OneFortyOne, we also encourage anyone with ideas or a proposal to help support the community’s response to Covid-19 at this time to talk to us about existing and potential grant options.
