Working Groups launch

Thank you to all who attended or caught up on the recordings of our Working Group launches. Leads and co-leads are being approached and these groups are beginning to get the ball rolling.

The deadline for the two-page policy brief that the Working Groups are preparing is end of July 2026.

Flexible Funds - Apply Now

Do you have a transdisciplinary idea concerning AMR and climate change that could benefit from a small grant? As a UKRI Tackling Infections network, CLIMAR has £147,500 ringfenced within its UKRI budget for flexible funds.

CLIMAR Network member in Lifeline Musical

Cara Patel, PhD student working on the impacts of pollution on antimicrobial resistance at the river catchment scale, will be performing in the Off West End production of Lifeline the Musical from 13th - 18th April at SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE, LONDON.

Lifeline is inspired by real historical events and real voices. Each performance features a different ensemble of nurses, doctors, vets, dentists and scientists, appearing alongside a professional cast, making every night genuinely unique.

**CLIMAR lead featured in The Guardian article on antibiotic resistance**

Prof Will Gaze (CLIMAR Director) has been mentioned in a Guardian article on the discovery of genes resistant to last-resort antibiotics being found in UK's largest lake that supplies 40% of Northern Ireland's drinking water. Read more

The RAU held a series of workshops in 2025 on engaging farmers in projects, co-production, designing surveys, indigenous knowledge and participatory action research. .
