Chair Dr Salih Gungor, Open University
The assessment of the life and integrity of engineering components and structures operating at elevated temperatures requires reliable knowledge of their mechanical properties. In particular, the time dependent nature of material behaviour at high temperatures makes this task doubly challenging.
Expert presentations including:
• Development of new test methods, including using miniature test samples
• Measurement of full field strain at high temperatures
• Creep behaviour of weldments
• Use of test data for assessment of material behaviour and component life.
The event will include a visit to high temperature testing facilities at the Open University.
Provisional timetable now available.
Early booking advisable as spaces limited
