Prof. Alastair McIntosh - Awakening an Ecology of the Imagination | acclaimed author and activist Alistair McIntosh comes to the GSA. In his lecture, Awakening an Ecology of the Imagination, Alastair will explore the imaginal realm.

Through the lens of both activism and a pilgrimage through the Outer Hebrides he will share what he sees as an “ecology of the imagination.” Following his lecture we invite 6 student participants to present and discuss creative works. Get more information and tickets here.

SAVE Campaign | To compliment the work we are doing to conserve energy, in January we will be installing the SAVE campaign across the GSA. Look out for it!

Creative Sustainability Lab: Energy Hack | The first in our Creative Sustainability Lab series will provide a platform to visualise and collaborate on producing solutions to our energy consumption problem.

We invite staff and students to attend. Book your free place here.

Warp It Training | Warp It is the GSA's resource sharing platform which allows staff and students to swap unwanted items. By reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill we can have a positive environmental impact and reduce costs for the GSA.

We will be hosting hourly interactive training session in the Media Suite of the library on the 22nd January. Email Eilidh to book a place.

Nic Green- Save the Date | Nic is a practitioner who works across forms, placing the practice of listening at the heart of her work.

Her research focuses on the development of a reciprocal, relational approach when working with people, place, context or material. She joins us on 21st January in the Students' Association bar. Look out for tickets soon.

reSOURCE exhibition - Save the Date | 14 students and practicing artists are participating in reSOURCE, a project which looks to develop their understanding of the environmental impact and carbon cost of their work.

In March we will be exhibiting the outcomes of this project. Please save the date and look out more information coming soon.

Sustainability in Action Group | The GSA’s Sustainability in Action group is made up of staff and students and representatives from departments and Schools.
