Item 1: nKPI, OSR and HCP reporting closes 15 August 2022

The current reporting round for your service's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander National Key Performance Indicators (nKPI), Online Services Report (OSR), or Health Care Provider (HCP) number reports will close on 15 August 2022.

Please ensure you have at least a draft data asset on your Reporting Dashboard to be able to continue to process your data.

If your CEO believes there is a compelling reason to request an exemption, please send an email outlining your reasons to indigenoushealth@health.gov.au.

Item 2: Pilot for PI25: STI Tests

PI25: STI Tests (Indigenous regular clients who tested for one or more sexually transmissible infections) is now being collected.

PI25 is collecting data about regular clients aged 15 to 34 years who were tested for chlamydia and/or gonorrhoea within the previous 12 months. It is being piloted for 2 reporting rounds. Detailed information on this new indicator is available on page 44 in the updated Specifications for National Key Performance Indicators and Online Services Reporting.

Data from the pilot will not be publicly reported. It will be analysed to assess if adequate quality data can be collected with the current specification, or if the indicator definition needs refinement for collection of good quality data. If you have not opted out, and your reporting includes PI25 data, it will be available for you in your Qlik dashboard.

Item 3: Clinic site details in the OSR

Remember the OSR will have questions to answer for each site you operate: the type of service, days of opening and whether the site offers 24-hour emergency care. You will also be asked to estimate the split of your total Client Numbers across your service delivery sites, if you have more than one. We note the split across sites may be an estimate only. The total MUST match the total client number on the Client Numbers tab.

This information will support the funding calculations in the Indigenous Australians' Health Programme funding model, particularly where comprehensive primary health care service delivery sites are more remotely located than main sites, as this may attract a remoteness loading under the funding model.

Item 4: Qlik interactive Reports

Your Qlik interactive reports have recently been updated to include the Target strategy text you have previously entered when you nominated your future targets for indicators PI03 (0-4 years, 25-54 years and 55+ years), PI05, PI14, PI18 and PI23.

To see this text, navigate to one of these indicators. For PI03, first choose one of the relevant age ranges. For PI05, first select the 12 month time period. For the other indicators with Targets attached, no additional selections are needed. You will then see an additional tab above the comparison graph called “My Service Target Strategies”. When you click on this tab, any strategy text you have entered in your nKPI reports back to June 2021 will be displayed.

Item 5: Performance Report to commence 1 September 2022 and will close 31 October 2022

The Indigenous Australians' Health Programme PHC Performance Report will be reported online, in the HDP, commencing 1 September 2022. This reporting round will close on 31 October 2022. The online Performance Report will contain similar content to the Word template used last year. The easy-to-complete online form will be submitted to, and reviewed by, Funding Agreement Managers through the HDP.

Your Activity Work Plan and budgets for 2022-23, and financial acquittals for 2021-22 will be via the usual Word templates. The Activity Work Plan and associated Risk Plan will be migrated to an online version in the HDP by June 2023.

The following training will be offered for Performance Report reporting through the HDP. The training will run through completing the form and printing the form in PDF. Please note that all times are Canberra times (AEST):
