This month we are highlighting Men’s Health which coincides with Movember. Good physical and mental health is important and there are many great resources in the library collections with helpful information to get you started on your health and wellness journey.

The library's extensive magazine collection has lots of titles regarding men’s health and interests and the Gale Health and Wellness database provides access to full-text medical journals, magazines, reference works, multimedia, and much more.

The spring school holiday program was extra special this year thanks to funding from NSW Government Regional Youth – Holiday Break Program. We were able to offer six creative workshops for youth aged 12-18. Those who attended said they were happy to make something they could take home.

"In a changing world (including a rival challenge to their well-established criminal gang, nurturing teenagers with attitude, eating right when you’re over 50, and thinking right when you’re overwhelmed) some things keep these tough men sane and moving forward: poetry, dance, theatre, justice, and love. Seriously funny. Hilariously brutal."

A story from the Coffs Coast Heritage Blog

Alfred Garland lived a short and eventful life, an accident leaving him with injuries and mental health issues that had no formal diagnosis and no support, leading to his early and tragic death.
