Click here St. Johns County Black Heritage Trail Launch Party The St. Johns Cultural Council has collaborated with local leaders and historians to develop the St. Johns County Black Heritage Trail. From early contributions to the nation’s founding to pivotal roles in the Civil Rights Movement, St. Johns County’s Black history is rich, complex, and ongoing. This trail and guidebook honor that legacy and invite you to explore it. The public is invited to join SJCC and its partners in celebrating the launch of the trail and the accompanying guidebook on Wednesday, August 13th from 4-6 PM at The Waterworks. ![]() GRAND RE-OPENING: After a $12.9 million 14-month transformation, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall re-opened its doors on Friday, August 1st. Visit pvconcerthall.com to learn more. ![]() ARTIST SPOTLIGHTRemedy Tree An original music band at heart, Remedy Tree combines the love for bluegrass, an Appalachian old-time spirit, and folk melodies to create a unique Americana experience that provides a fresh perspective into the future of bluegrass. The band has achieved notable success, securing second place at the prestigious Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America National Band Championship. They have performed internationally and shared the stage with legends such as Peter Rowan, The Steeldrivers, Ricky Skaggs, Town Mountain, Rhonda Vincent, and Della Mae. With a new album and larger shows on the horizon, Remedy Tree is poised for a breakout year in 2025. Local, regional, and national artists are invited to submit up to three of their original photos that feature a veteran and an American flag. ![]() Vendor Application: Art & Bark in the ParkThe City of St. Augustine Beach is accepting applications from artists to sell their work at the bi-annual Art & Bark in the Park at Lakeside Park. Artists may reserve a 10 ft x 10 ft space for $35. Vendors must be able to provide their own tents and tables. ![]() CALL TO ARTISTS: 8th Biennial Ocala Outdoor Sculpture CompetitionThe City of Ocala Cultural Arts invites artists to submit existing sculptures for the 8th Biennial Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition. This outdoor exhibition offers established and emerging sculptors an opportunity to display their work at Tuscawilla Park and Art Park in Ocala, Florida. Up to ten works will be selected for display from January 2026 to January 2028. Selected artists will receive a $4,000 honorarium to help offset transportation and installation costs. ![]() South Arts Grants & OpportunitiesApplications for Summer 2025 grants from South Arts are now open. These programs support a range of initiatives, from creative practice and collaboration to infrastructure, accessibility, and emergency preparedness, for individual artists and arts organizations. ![]() ON::View Artist ResidencyLocated in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at ARTS Southeast, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high-visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, continue an in-progress endeavor, or conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artist’s work to be on view to the community at all times.
