A Code of Conduct for certain health care workers now protects consumers in WA who use services from unregulated health practitioners. Examples of health care workers covered by the new Code of Conduct include dietitians, doulas, speech pathologists, social workers, naturopaths, massage therapists and other types of allied, alternative and community health services. It contains 17 clauses that outline how health care workers should undertake their practice, and The Health and Disability Service Complaints Office (HaDSCO) are responsible for investigating breaches of the Code of Conduct. For details on how to lodge a breach www.hadsco.wa.gov.au.
