This practice began for her when she fell into a depression at 23 years old. She started out journaling thoughts, ideas, and feelings but realized she was just repeating herself. So she immersed herself in meditation before and during writing. The more she honed her practice, the more she was able to truly quiet the narrating mind and sink deep into her body and unconscious. It helped her learn so much about herself and what was most important to her so she could align with her core values in everything she does. In addition, Tara completed a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Photography in 2011, holds over 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, and is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
