Lars Kolind appointed new Chairman of Jacob Jensen Group
At the General Meeting of Jacob Jensen Holding held on the 1st of April 2011, business leader and author Lars Kolind was appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. He takes over the post of chairman from Kim Krull Jørgensen, who has retired from the board as well as the chairmanship.
The Board Consultant Steen Georg Christensen has also left the board, while the Head of the Legal Department Kim Hyldahl Hansen and the Director and Chief Designer Timothy Jacob Jensen were re-elected.
The new JACOB JENSEN™ Carving Boards are the latest proof of Jacob Jensen Design’s ability to continuously seek new paths form-wise, creating a new design experience. Without making compromises with the world-known form language, two beautiful products have been created in the sustainable and strong material of quality bamboo.
Functional and sustainable carving boards are created with a sharp and linear bamboo design. The board has a juice rim on one side and is plain on the other side. The two boards in the kitchen series can be fitted together to create a maximum sized carving board.
The combination of sandblasted aluminium and black elements creates a sophisticated and beautiful piece for the kitchen in a classic and simple design.
The functions are easy and intuitive to the user: in addition to the nine toasting levels the toaster also has reheat and defrost functions to give the widest number of options for perfect toasting. Additionally, the toaster has a memory function, which means the optimum toasting level for the user can be used every time.
On evening, on the 14th of May 2011 on hill facing a bay in Northern Jutland, Denmark, Scandinavia... a rather unusual society was inaugurated. 14 men gathered at the House of Jacob Jensen for the very first IRONING MEN; a perfect moment to get your wrinkled shirts and trousers pressed whilst having a jolly good time together with other hearty fellows.
All arrived in their finest attire, equipped with ironing board, iron, shirts and good spirits to do some serious pressing on the decking and steaming around the seams sipping Dubonet to the music of the great “Charles Aznavour”. Spirits were high, and the ironing faultless.
