Save the Date: Lunar New Year Celebration Dinner on February 7
Please save the date for the Year of the Snake Lunar New Year Celebration Dinner on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Sun Sui Wah Restaurant on Main Street. Invitations and details will be sent in January.
CHS Career Conference
We’re excited to invite parents to participate in the annual CHS Career Conference, hosted in-person at Crofton House on the afternoon of March 10, 2025, where Grade 11 and 12 students will have the chance to connect with alumnae, parents, and other members of the CHS and broader community to explore various career paths. This is a great opportunity to share your experiences, offer insights, and inspire CHS students as they consider their future careers. A formal invitation to volunteer will shared in the new year, but if you're interested in learning more or indicating your interest now, please email advancement@croftonhouse.ca. Junior School Writer-in-Residence & Book Sale: Lily LaMotte
We are excited to welcome picture book author and graphic novelist Lily LaMotte as the Junior School writer-in-residence from January 21 to January 23. Senior Kindergarten through Grade 7 parents and guardians, please see the School communication sent on December 12 to order any copies of Lily’s books before Friday, January 10. Learn more.
Senior School Parent Session with Personal Counsellors
Senior School parents and families, please be advised of two upcoming drop-in Coffee & Conversation mornings with the Personal Counsellors, in the Nocente Family Fireplace Lounge. Learn more about the focus of each session on the newsletter blog:

- Grade 10 to 12 session on Thursday, January 23 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am
Virtual Evening for Grade 10 Families
The Career Education & Post-Secondary Counselling team invites Grade 10 students and their families to a virtual drop-in session on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00 pm on the topic of course planning for Grade 11. This session will be available to join via Zoom with the passcode 3200.

Student Experience
As 2024 comes to a close, the campus has been buzzing with the excitement of the approaching Winter Break and holiday season. Check out the highlights gallery here featuring moments like the Senior School’s Winter Spirit Week, the Junior School’s YWCA gift collection, and the ECE Gingerbread Hunt—just a few of the special ways we’ve wrapped up the year!
The Crofton Falcons basketball seasons have tipped off across campus, and more match results are in from the Senior School! On Tuesday, the Grade 8, Junior and Senior Varsity teams celebrated wins against York House School, followed by victories for the Grade 8 and Junior teams against St Patrick Regional Secondary School on Wednesday. The Senior Varsity team also defeated Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School here at CHS. After the holidays, the Varsity team is set to kick off 2025 with an early tournament at Notre Dame Regional Secondary from January 9-11.
We look forward to continuing coverage of Crofton Falcons basketball after the holidays.

CHS Parents' Auxiliary
CHS Community Book Club on January 22
Join parents and alumnae on Wednesday, January 22 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am for the first community book club of 2025. We will be discussing Races: The Trial and Triumphs of Canada's Fastest Family by Valerie Jerome. Please note the location has changed to the Heritage Dining Room.
