Planning pre-application meetings/advice suspended until JulyResource consent application numbers have increased over the past two months and, at the moment, our planning teams don’t have capacity to provide pre-application meetings/advice as well as process consents. We’ve employed several new planners and expect to have increased capacity soon but, in the meantime, we need to prioritise consents, so we’re reluctantly putting our pre-application planning advice service on hold until the end of the financial year (30 June). We’ll accommodate requests already submitted, but we won’t be able to accept any new requests from 22 April. This suspension is only for planning advice. The Building Consent pre-application advice service continues as normal. We know our pre-application planning advice is a valued service for many people and we're sorry we’re not able to provide this at the moment. We’ll review the situation in June and provide a further update then on whether we can resume it then. In the meantime, for advice about specific projects, we recommend contacting a planning consultant. Our Duty Planner is also available for more general enquiries.
