Take a look at forfarroad.gallery or plan a visit to the Teviot Valley and say hello to owners Gordon Still and Janet Podham. The Invercargill Sunrise Rotary are contacting a range of artists to ascertain their interest in supporting their art auction. They are looking for local artists happy to donate works which will be shown in a brand new hotel being completed this year in Invercargill - The Langlands. Sunrise Rotary have run several successful
art auctions over the years and proceeds from this auction will go toward supporting childrens charities in the South Island. If you would be interested in donating to this worthy cause please contact [email protected] for further information. With so many cancellations, its good to hear that Arts Central are still forging ahead with their plans
for ACE 2022 - a showcase of visual artworks created by artists and craftspeople in Cromwell and surrounding areas. The exhibition will be held at The Gate Conference Centre over Easter, 15 – 18 April 2022. The purpose of the exhibition is not only to showcase works by established artists, but especially to discover the hidden talents of those who may not have previously exhibited commercially. Arts Central aim to broaden the interpretation of creative art by including new categories like jewellery, furniture making and textiles. There is no age restriction to enter and people who have not previously exhibited their work are strongly encouraged to submit.
