Towns involved in the program include Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Cunderdin, Dalwallinu, Kellerberrin/Tammin, Kondinin, Merredin, Moora, Narrogin, Southern Cross, Westonia and Wongan Hills. Students learnt about living and working in the region, while staying with local families and visiting local health services and schools. The program featured a range of activities such as farm visits, touring a salt mine, emergency simulations and experiencing some ochre pit face painting. The aim of WMSIP is to encourage the students to consider a career in rural medicine and to have a better understanding of the context of their rural patients in the future. Thanks to all of the towns who have supported the students through Wheatbelt Medical Student Immersion Program this year. ![]() ![]() ![]() Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network events calendarDid you know our Wheatbelt Health Professionals Network events calendar is a one-stop-shop for health-related training and events happening in the region?
