Alabama Rot case update - 24th March Unfortunately we have to confirm a further 3 cases of Alabama Rot, also known as CRGV (cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy). The cases were from Bridgend (Rhondda Cynon Taf), Ledbury (Herefordshire) and York (Yorkshire). In total, the UK has now seen 274 confirmed cases with 23 cases in 2021. This disease is still
rare, so we’re advising dog owners to remain calm but vigilant, and seek advice from their local vet if their dog develops unexplained skin lesions.
Facebook live - Alabama Rot (CRGV) Q&A We’re back with another CRGV Facebook Live event featuring our Director and American, RCVS & EBVS European specialist in small animal internal medicine, David Walker. Put your questions to David on Thursday 22nd April at 7:30pm.

Miracle Molly...a CRGV survivor!Molly is a lovely Labrador retriever who was referred to our internal medicine service in November because of a deep, painful ulcer and swelling affecting one of her legs. The appearance of the ulcer and the time of year made us worry about CRGV (Alabama Rot).

Bonnie's journey to recovery Bonnie, a one-year-old Labrador, was taken to her local vet because she was vomiting and was very lethargic. Once at her vets, Bonnie deteriorated very quickly. Bonnie's vet was suspicious that she had septic peritonitis (a potentially life-threatening
condition) so he referred Bonnie to Anderson Moores as an emergency.

Yuki walks all over cancerYuki is a lovely 11-year-old Samoyed who was diagnosed with renal lymphoma in 2014, which caused her to have an acute kidney injury (AKI). Yuki underwent a round of chemotherapy for treatment of her lymphoma, which finished in 2015 when Yuki was found to be in remission. Alongside her owner and canine pals, Yuki has now taken on her next challenge by completing 10,000 steps every day in March for the fundraising event, WALKING
ALL OVER CANCER. Go Yuki!
