First Impressions Helping Retain Membership

Wahissa believes active participation starts with great first impressions: experienced election leaders at the troop level, a polished new candidate introduction at Summer camp, and most importantly, a quality Ordeal in the Fall. How a new member feels coming out of their Ordeal sets the tone for that Arrowman’s involvement in our Order, so this should be one of the most important aspects of a successful Lodge.

Meet the 2018 National Officers

With the start of the new year comes the election of new national officers. Elected at the National Planning Meeting in Dallas, Texas this past week, these officers will serve for the next year until the following planning meeting. The newly elected officers will play a big role in planning and executing the upcoming National Order of the Arrow Conference.

Attend the 2018 AIA Seminar

The weekend will be full of sessions on numerous Crafts, Ceremonies, Dance, Singing, Advising, and overall Lodge AIA Program. All Arrowman interested in Indian Affairs are welcome and encouraged to attend. No matter if they have one day or one decade of experience in AIA, everyone will benefit from attending this weekend. Youth and adults will have the chance to attend sessions by individuals who are considered to some of the most knowledgeable individuals in Scouting in their respective areas. The Section AIA Committee has worked hard to draft a schedule that is packed with training. The event is taking place February 16th-18th at Camp Durant. The cost is $20 for the weekend.

Meet the Vice Chief Program

Alex is from Wilmington, NC and has lived there his whole life. He is currently in high school. One of his favorite activities is heading to the beach with friends for the day. He is looking forward to making this year’s Conclave exciting and fun for all Arrowmen.

 

Meet the Service Chairman

Connor is originally from Tallahassee, FL but now lives in Raleigh. He is currently a junior in high school. He hopes to help plan and carry out service projects that help people in need. He also hopes to raise awareness for important causes that impact our local area in NC. He believes this job is important because we are all part of the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service. Connor is also a staff member at Camp Durant, a BSA summer camp.
