Fixed price secured for arena

The Board of Te Kaha Project Delivery Limited has succeeded in negotiating a fixed price for the design and construction of the multi-use arena.

It has been working with BESIX Watpac on addressing the risks associated with the project and BESIX Watpac has now submitted a revised Design and Construction submission that provides a fixed price.

That means if the Council decides on Thursday that it wants to proceed with the arena, ratepayers will be protected from further cost increases.
