Fixed price secured for arenaThe Board of Te Kaha Project Delivery Limited has succeeded in negotiating a fixed price for the design and construction of the multi-use arena. It has been working with BESIX Watpac on addressing the risks associated with the project and BESIX Watpac has now submitted a revised Design and Construction submission that provides a fixed price. That means if the Council decides on Thursday that it wants to proceed with the arena, ratepayers will be protected from further cost increases. Thursday’s Council meeting will begin at 10am. You can follow the meeting on the live-stream. The meeting will start with the Council hearing deputations from some submitters.
