We provide an overview of awards recently received by members of our team, training opportunities (another Bootcamp coming soon!), and a recap of the Society for Behavioral Medicine (SBM) Annual Meeting. We were thrilled to see many of our colleagues at the SBM Meeting and look forward to seeing more of you at the upcoming Society for Implementation Research Collaboration conference this fall! BRIDGE Team HighlightsEmily Fu was selected to receive the Society of Behavioral Medicine’s 2024 Outstanding Dissertation Award. Her dissertation is comprised of three studies to develop the Observational Assessment Tool for Tailoring (OATT) to measure interventionist fidelity to tailoring in pediatric obesity interventions. The OATT provides an explicit definition of tailoring and integral components to measure efficacy, guide future tailored intervention designs, and be used as an ongoing strategy for monitoring fidelity to tailoring. She received the award during the conference's Presidential Keynote and Awards Ceremony in March. Her faculty nominator for the award was Andrea Graham at Northeastern University. Alethea Desrosiers, Ph.D.Read more about Dr. Desrosiers →Dr. Alethea Desrosiers received the coveted Fulbright Specialist Award to continue her work in Bogotá, Colombia. Focusing on implementation science in the global mental health context, Dr. Desrosier's work utilizes user-centered design and task-sharing approaches to improve delivery quality of evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations of youth and families globally. While there, she will collaborate with colleagues at the great Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Rani Elwy, Ph.D.Dr. Rani Elwy received the prestigious Presidential Leadership Award (PLS), class of 2024. Through "interactions with former presidents, key administration officials, leading academics, and business and civic leaders," this course offers awardees the opportunity to expand and hone leadership skills, nurturing their sense of purpose and sense of self-efficacy around accomplishing their goals.
