ARTS NEWSLETTER - May 2012

Kia Ora,
It’s hard to believe that we are in May, winter is approaching fast, and we are almost halfway through another year. It seems that mischief is the flavour of this month and if you are a baby boomer, you will be sure to get a kick out of Jane Keller presenting her fabulous one-woman cabaret show, ‘Boomers Behaving Badly’. The show is playing in Cromwell, Alexandra and Ranfurly, so, no excuses - go along and enjoy a night of fun and laughter.
We, the Central Otago District Arts Trust (CODAT) held a very successful Artist Open-Studio weekend during Easter. As it was so successful, we now intend to develop an established Arts Trail for the whole region. When you consider the synergy that already exists between the world-renowned Otago Central Rail Trail and the ever-expanding wine trail of Central Otago, it makes sense to offer a third option. CODAT believes the Arts Trail will become a part of this winning mix. Not only will it offer a unique artistic experience for both visitors and the local community, but it will also bring economic benefits to the region as a
whole. Listed below are all the latest pre-winter events. Although we do our best to keep you up-to-date with what's on, it’s very dependent on communication from you. Please get out and enjoy the shows, concerts, exhibitions and films. Stay tuned art lovers. Warmest regards
Maxine
